The British Virgin Islands ( BVI) are located in the Caribbean Sea, to the East of Puerto Rico. The British Virgin Islands consist of some well known islands such: Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Anegada , Jost Van Dyke , etc.

The capital is on Tortola, called Road Town.
The first European who visited these islands was Christopher Columbus in 1943.The islands are known as the “ sailors paradise” and numerous British Virgin Islands yacht charters are organized in the area. The climate is ideal for British Virgin Island sailing charters: tropical climate moderated by trade winds. The temperature is high with daily maxima 89,6 F in the summer and 84,2 F in the winter. The driest months are February and March. Hurricane season is running from June to November.

This is another great yachting destination for full enjoyment on BVI motor yachts, with the area of St. Barths to be one of the 10 top destinations in the Caribbean! Its giant boulders that form a series of spectacular pools and grottoes, it is really an amazing spot for yacht charters and vacationers!

The island has many natural attractions! The Spanish Town is the center of the island with lots of shops, banks, close to the Gorda Yacht Harbour. From here the visitors can start a historical adventure and go to Coppermine where they can see ruins against the azure sea. Also a visit to the The Spanish ruins at Little Fork National Park is worthwhile.

On the North Sound there is an exclusive club, accessible only by water, called the Bitter End Yacht Club. There are also some smaller islands here, such Moskito, Prickly Pear, Eustatia, Necker etc.places with fine resorts and restaurants. JOST VAN DYKE

The island took its name from an early Dutch settler and former pirate. There are some action going on here, with lots of daysail boats coming from Tortola. There are beautiful beaches to visit around : White Bay, Great Harbour, Little Harbour. The local cuisine is great, with lots of barbecues, West Indian rotis, grilled fresh fish and lobster.

Great Harbour is a famous place to be during New Year’s or Halloween’s! Lots of fun with amazing parties and music!

ANEGADA

Literally it is the “ drowned island” , the only all- coral atoll in the BVIs. It has over 300 wrecks in its waters, some of whose artfacts can be seen in a local nautical museum. The island is well known for its endless white sandy beaches, and it is an eco – tourist’s delight. Rare inguanas are nurtured by the National Parks Trust in the area, then released in the wild and many rate types of plants are also found here.



The main town, The Settlement has schools, a clinic, a police and fire station, and some small restaurants and shops. The main port has seafood places that specialize in lobster which you can savor on our British Virgin Island sailing charters The island is a great getaway, for relaxation.It is surrounded by coral reefs, with the largest one, the Horseshoe Reef.



Beautiful beaches to visit : Cow Wreck Beach, Flash of Beauty, Bones Bight, Windlass Bight, etc. The people who are in to diving will love Anegada island, as it is full of tunnels and drops, which are rich in needle fish, mojarra, stingrays, parrot fish and other marine life. Also you can watch lots of wrecks including American and British warships.
