Bimini Yacht Charter Itinerary

Situated just 45 miles off the Florida coast, the Bimini islands are a perfect destination for a sailing vacation with a yacht charter. Well-known for the picturesque nature trails, pristine sandy beaches, and coral reefs, Bimini is a stunning, island paradise.

Whether you wish to explore the mysterious remains of a shipwreck, snorkel in a cluster of tropical fish, swim up close with dolphins, or just relax on your yacht’s deck, Bimini offers an experience like no other!

Day 1

Alice Town & Bimini Bay Marina.

The first destination on our Miami to Bimini yacht charter vacation is the Bimini Bay Marina, also known as the getaway to the Bahamas.

Equipped with spacious restroom and shower facilities and tie-up and dock assistance, this upscale marina will be our home for the day. In the afternoon, we can explore the lovely Alice Town which is a tourist center and the principal settlement in North Bimini.

The main street is full of interesting shops and a few attractions including the cool Dolphin House and the pink-colored Bimini Museum. The Alice Town beach or as the locals like to call it Radio Beach offers several spots for sunbathing and a couple of fast food restaurants where you can stop for lunch.

Day 2

Sapona shipwreck & Chub Cay.

On Day 2 of your yacht charter, we will be visiting the remains of the Sapona concrete-hulled cargo steamer for some snorkeling and diving.

This wreck approaches depths of only 20 feet, making it an easy dive for beginners. Expect to see an abundance of tropical marine life at this popular diving site. To make the most out of the day, we will continue across the Great Bahama Bank until we reach one of the most modern marinas in the Bahamas, the famous Chub Cay Club.

Located on the southern tip of the Berry Islands, Chub Cay Club is a world-class resort which offers a warm welcome to yachtsman and travelers on yacht charter vacations. Whether you wish to enjoy offshore fishing or just relax and unwind with a drink, Chub Cay Resort & Marina offers something for everyone.

Day 3

White Cay

In the morning, we will be leaving Chub Cay and heading towards White Cay which is a popular anchorage in the Bahamas with an elevation of 8 meters.

The main reason for our visit is the nearby deep Blue Hole on Hoffman’s Cay where we can go diving, swimming, and snorkeling.

Hoffman’s Cay is actually an uninhabited island, and it seems that oysters are the only inhabitants here. As for the Blue Hole, it is 600 feet high with a cliff that hangs about 20 feet above the water. Adventurous yacht charter travelers with an adrenaline rush can jump from the cliff into the waters.

 Day 4

Great Harbor Cay

The largest of The Berry Islands, Great Harbor Cay is the next stop on our sailing adventure in the Bimini Islands. Here, we will anchor off the fabulous Sugar Beach, one of the most picturesque beaches in the Bahamas which consists of dozens of sandy coves set among cliffs.

There are also plenty of caves to explore here, and the creeks are filled with a variety of wildlife. Our guests can also check out the ruins of the Sugar Beach Resort & Golf Club which was the first resort on the island. Great Harbour Cay Island is a stunning island in Bimini, so it comes as no surprise that the list of notable residents and visitors of the island is quite long.

Celebrities like Brigitte Bardot, Earl Blackwell, Douglas Fairbanks used to spend their vacations here.

Day 5

Bimini Bay Resort

On the last day of our Miami to Bimini yacht charter adventure, we will be visiting the all-new Bimini Bay Resort and Marina. With over 200 privately owned and uniquely furnished units, this spectacular resort and marina offer a real home-away-from-home experience.

Aside from the charming units, there is the Sakara Beach Club where leisure yachts anchor and guests can spend the rest of the day.

Bahamas Yacht Charter Itinerary

Bahamas Yacht Charter Itinerary

With sapphire waters everywhere around you, the Exuma chain in the Bahamas is the ideal destination for a luxury yacht charter. From footprint-free beaches,  5-star hotels, to protected coves that offer perfect scuba diving conditions, there is a lot of things to look forward to when visiting this tropical paradise.

During your yacht charter in the Exumas, you will have an opportunity to sail at sunset, visit some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and enjoy the water activities.

Day 1

We start our Bahamas yacht charter itinerary from Nassau, a vibrant metropolitan hub well-known for its off-shore coral reefs and modern amenities.

After welcoming you on-board, we are setting the course for Allen’s Cay and Highborne Cay. Known worldwide as the gateway to the Exuma Cays, Highborne Cay has a first-class marina and welcomes hundreds of yachtsmen and travelers on yacht rental vacations each day.

We can teach you how to ski or wakeboard here, or you can go for a hike to the “Spring” and visit some of the most picturesque beaches here. To see large iguanas and have more beach time, we can visit the nearby Allen’s Cay. Later in the day, relax on one of the hammocks at Highborne Cay Marina and enjoy the spectacular sunset views.

Day 2

In the morning we can offer you scuba diving training with an easy shallow practice dive. Our next stop is the famous Norman’s Cay.

In the 1980s a drug smugglers plane crashed in the water while trying to land. Today, the small plane is an incredible spot for snorkeling and gets quite busy with vacationers during their Bahamans yacht charter vacation. Expect to see plenty of marine life including turtles and a variety of colorful fish.

You can even swim through the cabin and into the cockpit of the airplane. Located on the north edge of Norman’s Cay, Saddleback Cay beach is an ideal place to go swimming in the afternoon. In the evening, we are going on a sunset cruise to Shroud Cay.

Day 3

On day 3 of our sailing yacht adventure in the Bahamas, we can go for a walk on the Shroud Cay Beach in the morning or hike up to the top of the island and enjoy magnificent views of the ocean.

Around noon, we are sailing to the lovely Warderwick Wells, a part of the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park. Here, we will come across numerous dive and snorkel spots which offer an abundance of marine life including large groupers and even sharks. This national park offers dozens of marked trails which are ideal spots for scavenger hunts.

In the evening, we can go on a slow cruise to the charming Bell Island.

Day 4

Our yacht charter adventure in the Bahamas takes us to the Aquarium on Bell Island where you can go snorkeling and scuba diving in the morning.

We will also be visiting Staniel Cay, a place famous for being the location of the underwater grotto scene in one of the James Bond movies. This grotto is a great spot to snorkel and spot some colorful fish.

If you get tired of all the water activities and want to get back to civilization, we can organize a visit to  Staniel Cay Yacht Club for happy hour cocktails and lunch.

Day 5

Today, we will swim with pigs! Big Major Spot in the Bahamas’ Exumas Cays is one of the rare spots on the planet where you can swim with pigs in the ocean.

During the First Gulf War, locals brought many pigs to the island in case they needed to repopulate their animals here. Today, these pigs will even swim up to your yacht charter so you can feed them.

Don’t be afraid of jumping in the water and joining them. We won’t be sailing much today, which means you’ll have the chance to hang out on the beach and enjoy many activities like diving at Over Yonder Cay, getting a fancy massage right on the beach, and visiting small nearby cays which are only accessible with small yacht charter boats.

Day 6

Day 6 of our Exumas travel adventure takes us to Galliot Cay, Cave Cay, and Musha Cay. Galliot Cay is well-known for its shallow pool, which means you can spend a couple of hours snorkeling and admiring the underwater marine life. Blessed with stunning natural beauty, the Cave Cay is the next destination on our list of places to visit.

This private island is one of the most beautiful islands in the area and has everything from an already-built deep-water harbor and marina to a private airstrip and magnificent Bahamian white-sand beaches. Later in the day, we are paying a visit to the spectacular Musha Cay.

The famous illusionist David Copperfield used to own this island. Expect to find a fine sand-covered shoreline, lush tropical scrublands, and a picturesque tropical forest. Celebrities like Steve Martin and Oprah Winfrey like to spend their vacations here. In the evening, we set sails back to Paradise Island.

Day 7

On the last day of our incredible yacht charter journey in the Bahamas, we are docking at Nassau Paradise Island. Whether you wish to swim, tour the grotto and admire the marine life inside the caves and tunnels on the Atlantis grounds, or come inches away from groupers, manta rays, and sharks at one of the most famous museums in the world, there is no shortage of fun things to do on your last day out your Bahamas travel adventure.

You can also go shopping in Nassau for souvenirs or have lunch at one of the waterfront restaurants and try local seafood specialties.
